E3 2016 – EA Play Previews Upcoming Star Wars Game Projects

EA Play have released a trailer that showcases a variety of Star Wars projects their development teams and partners are working on now, including DICE, BioWare, Motive, Visceral Games, Capital Games and our partners at Respawn Entertainment. These experiences will explore different Star Wars eras in different gaming genres on different platforms.

One clip show a developer using PlayStation VR which leads me to think we will get Star Wars VR games. Some of the games shown include Star Wars™ Battlefront™, Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes, Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ and A new installment of Star Wars Battlefront is currently in development at DICE, in collaboration with Motive™ Studios in Montreal coming in 2018.

In 2018 a brand new Star Wars story will debut in a new action adventure game from Visceral Games and looking beyond 2017 Respawn Entertainment are making their own 3rd person action adventure game, one that features a different style of gameplay and takes place in a different timeline that has yet to be explored with EA Star Wars titles.
