EGX is back in Birmingham at the NEC over the weekend of 21 – 24 September this year. If you’d like to attend, head on over to the event’s web site where you’ll be able to buy tickets from Wednesday 22 February. That’s next Wednesday.
No major news regarding games at the show have been announced yet, but the event has grown year on year to become the UK’s largest game show and I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve attended and covered the show. The major players have always been in attendance with demo stands set up for all the big upcoming (or recently released titles). In previous years, the event has featured a retro zone, allowing a nostalgia filled walk down memory lane and a whole host of independent game developers keen to show off their games. Oh and there has even been a table-top game section as well, for those of us who dabble in such things.
EGX has been located at the NEC in Birmingham since 2015, having previously been located in that there London Town. Personally, I think the move was a positive one. Birmingham’s central location and great travel links make it easier (in my opinion) for people to get to and the venue itself has an amazing amount of floor space – with multiple halls potentially available.
If you’re interested in upcoming games, then this is the place to have a go in the UK.
