Eurogamer News – Ubisoft, Forza Horizon & Dishonoured

Here’s a round-up of the latest games and developer sessions news happening at this years Eurogmer.


Assassin’s Creed® III, Far Cry® 3 and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell®: Blacklist™ will form a key part of this year’s developer sessions schedule. Jamie Kean, Lead Designer on Far Cry 3, will be on stage at 1pm on Thursday 27th September to show attendees what Ubisoft Montreal has been cooking up with the studio’s ambitious and subversive new first-person shooter.

Then, at 1pm on Friday 28th September, Ubisoft Montreal’s Alex Hutchinson (Creative Director) and Jonathan Cooper (Animation Director) will be on stage to present an inside look at development of Assassin’s Creed III ahead of its release later this year.

Finally, Ubisoft Toronto Cinematic Director David Footman will introduce Splinter Cell: Blacklist to attendees in a developer session on Saturday 29th September at 1.30pm.

Forza Horizon

Playground Games will be taking the stage for an in-depth developer presentation at this year’s event, with Forza Horizon playable for fans on the show floor throughout the four days of the Expo.

Forza Horizon combines the legendary Forza Motorsport authenticity with a festival atmosphere and the freedom of the open road. The game launches exclusively for Xbox 360 on October 26th, and Eurogamer Expo attendees will be among the first in the UK to play it.

Gamers will also be invited to check out an exclusive developer session at 4pm on Friday 28th September. Design Director Ralph Fulton will demonstrate how the game offers an immersive pick-up-and-play open-road experience while maintaining the unrivalled realism, diversity and innovation that are hallmarks of the Forza Motorsport franchise.


Arkane Studios will present an extended look at DishonoredTMas part of this year’s developer sessions schedule. Arkane Studios’ Christophe Carrier (Lead Level Designer & Audio Director) and Dinga Bakaba (Assistant Producer & Game Designer) will introduce the game at length on Friday 28th September at 5pm and at midday on Saturday 29th September in the developer sessions auditorium.

Dishonoured is a new first-person action game developed by Arkane Studios in which the player takes on the role of Corvo, a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. The game recently received’s Gamescom Game of the Show award. Dishonoured is set for release in the UK on October 12 and will also be playable at the Eurogamer Expo for the first time in the UK.
