Showrunners Panel with Exclusive Clips at 2014 London Comic Con

“Showrunners” Feature Documentary Producer John Wallace, Director Des Doyle & Co-Producer Ryan Patrick McGuffey will be attending London Comic Con for the first time to promote their upcoming film about U.S. Television Showrunners which features J.J. Abrams, Joss Whedon & many more.

The filmmakers behind the forthcoming feature documentary, “Showrunners” are excited and honored to have been invited to present a special panel at London Comic Con featuring exclusive clips from the forthcoming film. “Showrunners” is the first ever feature length documentary film to explore the fascinating world of US television showrunners and explores the creative forces aligned around them. “These are the people responsible for creating, writing and overseeing every element of production on one of the United States’s biggest exports –television drama and comedy series,” explained director Des Doyle.  The film intends to show audiences the massive amount of work that goes into ensuring their favorite TV series airs on time, as well as the many challenges that showrunners have to overcome to make sure a new series even makes it onto the schedule at all.

The film features contributions from Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Firefly), J.J. Abrams (LOST, Alias), Kurt Sutter (Sons Of Anarchy),Damon Lindelof (LOST, The Leftovers), Ronald D.Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander),Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory), Jane Espenson (Once Upon A Time, Husbands),Jonathan Nolan (Person Of Interest), Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire),Robert & Michelle King (The Good Wife), J.H. Wyman (Fringe, Almost Human),Hart Hanson (Bones), Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus)Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and many more!”

In addition to the Q&A about the film and a discussion on what it means to be a Showrunner, Director Des Doyle, producer John Wallace & co-producer Ryan Patrick McGuffey will be premiering EXCLUSIVE 2014 MCM London Comic Con Clips from their upcoming documentary feature.
