SDCC 2014: Interview with Sleepy Hollow Cast & Crew

The dust is just beginning to settle – and we’re just starting to recover – from yet another Comic Con. A lot of fun was had at SDCC, and we were lucky enough to catch up with the cast of Sleepy Hollow while there.

Arguably the biggest surprise of last year’s fall TV season, Sleepy Hollow quickly became one of our favorite shows here at GS. From the amazing chemistry between the lead characters to the too-crazy-to-be-believed (and yet we believed them anyway) plot twists, Sleepy Hollow delivers on all ends. If you haven’t caught up on it yet, what are you waiting for?

One of the other reasons we love this show so much is the cast and crew – they’re funny, engaging, and downright charming (I’m looking at you, Tom Mison!). Thankfully, they took some time out of their busy Comic Con schedules to sit down and chat last Friday.

First up were Orlando Jones (Captain Irving), Lyndie Greenwood (Jenny Mills), and Alex Kurtzman (executive producer). They talked a little bit about what we can expect to see in Season 2, why the relationship between the cast off-screen is so important to the show, and how much Lyndie loves her stunt double:

Next, we had the fantastic foursome of Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane), Mark Goffman (writer/showrunner), Nicole Beharie (Abbie Mills), and Heather Kadin (executive producer). Rest assured folks – we’re going to get more of Ichabod trying to integrate into modern times (think On-Star “Yolanda”)! Nicole also chatted a bit about the strong female characters on the show:

(By the way, how funny is Tom’s face at the 9:40 mark?? Priceless!)

Finally, we chatted with Roberto Orci  (executive producer), the too-beautiful-for-words Katia Winter (Katrina Crane), and the amazing John Noble (Henry Parrish/Jeremy/Seriously Bad Dude). I was so glad to see John, because his story was the biggest surprise of the season, and the reason all us Sleepyheads were gaping at our TVs after the season finale. He talks a bit about that, and we hear more about Katrina’s journey, and Katia’s unexpected house guest!

Cannot say enough about this cast – I love seeing them on TV, and I love listening to them talk about the show. Thankfully, we don’t have too much longer to wait – Sleepy Hollow will be back this fall with 18 episodes. To help tide you over until then, here are some pictures from the press room.
