Forbidden Planet Announce More Signings

This summer Forbidden Planet has had a non stop list of signings and more just coming in now for Scott K Andrews and Dani Ware signing Schools Out Forever and Ecko Rising respectively. This is your chance to meet the authors, ask questions, get your book signed and talk to other fans.

First up is Schools Out Forever (Abaddon) by Scott K Andrews at The Forbidden Planet Megastore on Friday 7th September from 6:00 to 7:00pm.

“After the world died we all sort of drifted back to school. After all, where else was there for us to go?”

Lee Keegan’s fifteen. If most of the population of the world hadn’t just died choking on their own blood, he might be worrying about acne, body odour and girls. As it is, he and the young Matron of his boarding school, Jane Crowther, have to try and protect their charges from cannibalistic gangs, religious fanatics, a bullying prefect experimenting with crucifixion and even the surviving might of the US Army. Welcome to St. Mark’s School for Boys and Girls…

Scott K Andrews is an exciting new writer. Already well known for his audio dramas for Big Finish, this omnibus collects his first complete trilogy, the School’s Out books, in one volume for the first time.

Then we have Dani Ware signing her debut novel Ecko Rising (Titan Books) at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Thursday 20th September from 6 – 7pm.

Ecko: Rising follows a savage, gleefully cynical anti-hero immersed in his own fantasy world. Ecko joins a misfit cast of characters and strives to conquer his deepest fears and save the world. Danie says, “Ecko: Rising is sardonic fantasy, a sharp new slant on the genre, scattered with a healthy dusting of sex, violence and sarcasm. I’ve read fantasy, on and off, since I was a teen – and you can’t put a new twist on something unless you fell in love with it to start with! I wanted to push back its boundaries, make it do something different, something smarter and darker – but also something that we’d understand and recognise.”

Danie Ware is the publicist and event organiser for cult entertainment retailer Forbidden Planet. She has been immersed in the science-fiction and fantasy community for the past decade. An early adopter of blogging, social media and a familiar face at conventions, she appears on panels as an expert on genre marketing and retailing.

So put the dates in your diary and be sure to check out the books as well.
