Forbidden Planet celebrates it’s 30th anniversary in style

Thanks to the guys over at Forbidden Planet for sending us this press release. They also wanted to pass on the £30 money voucher that you can use in-store on Saturday 6th September and Sunday 7th September.

In 1978 Forbidden Planet opened it’s first store in London’s Denmark Street and we have been at the forefront of all things Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Cult TV and Film, including books, comics, DVDs and toys ever since. We now have nine stores around the country and our London Megastore is the biggest shop of it’s kind in the World.

Our other eight stores are located in:

Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Coventry, Croydon, Liverpool, Newcastle and Southampton.

To mark this auspicious occasion we are throwing birthday parties in all of our stores. Everyone will be celebrating on Saturday 6th September,.

Plus, we will also be launching our exclusive range of Forbidden Planet products on the same day. These are the long-awaited and much asked for merchandise with the legendary ‘People Like Us Shop At Forbidden Planet’ design on them. It was originally created for us 30 years ago by a then up and coming artist, who went on to become on of the most famous names in comic book history – Brian Bolland.

The range includes, cups, badges, t-shirts and limited edition canvases of the design. (Pix attached) This really is an incredible opportunity for fans of FP to have a piece of our history.

Forbidden Planet has been the home Geek Chic for 30 years.

We didn’t follow the trend – we set it!
