Get Scared Shirtless at SCARdiff

As the resident scaredy cat of Geek Syndicate I problably wouldn’t be caught dead (wrong choice of words) at a horror convention. However if you like all things that make most sane folks cringe with terror and live near Cardiff then you might want to head down to a new convention dedicated to the macabre – SCARdiff.

Love horror? Love indie films? Love getting your ghoul on???

This Sunday sees the first SCARdiff hit Wales with a bump – a brand new horror expo in Cardiff co-produced by Fantasy Events, horror author Wayne Simmons and Shock Horror Magazine. This is a one day event taking place at the Mercure Holland Hotel Cardiff on Sunday 27th October 2013.
The show will feature writers, publishers, comic book artists, actors, special effects artists, illustrators, directors, jewellery makers, and more! The format is interactive with workshops, Q&A panels and film screenings throughout the day. The Guest of Honour is cult horror actor Bobby Rhodes, and other Special Guests include Dominic Brunt and Joanne Mitchell (BEFORE DAWN), bestselling horror author David Moody (AUTUMN, HATER), comic-book artist and colourist John HIggins (RAZORJACK, WATCHMEN) and director Simeon Halligan (SPLINTERED). Check out the FULL line up here.

Online ticket sales have closed, but never fear, as there will be a number available on the door, from 1030. Doors open for those with pre-paid Paypal receipts at 1000.

Tickets on the door are priced at £8 for one, or £15 for two.

Stay scary!

Given that this is being run by the same team behind the fantastic Cardiff Comic Expo I think we can expect a well run, interesting and fun event.

Just remember if you do attend and find yourself being chased by an axe welding clown (because who doesn’t hate clowns) never run up the stairs or down into the basement with no lights but a selection if handy power tools. You can thank me later.
