Graywalkers: Purgatory Fights for Funding

If you have found yourself falling in love with turn-based strategy, then Graywalkers: Purgatory might be worth investing in. Graywalkers is currently on Kickstarter, looking for funding.  As of the 31st of October (a fitting date for the supernatural themed game), Graywalkers: Purgatory has made over $37,000 on Kickstarter, but it still shy of being completely funded. Let’s see what Graywalkers does that’s so special.

If you would like to try Graywalkers for yourself, the developers have made a demo for everyone to play, which is a nice move for a game that may not receive all the money it’s requesting. You’ll see the germs of what could be a very good game. I’ve played some of the demo, and at this moment, it’s pretty rough. At the alpha level of development, you can’t expect the game to look like X-Com. There is music, but they don’t have sound effects, the menus are “chunky,”and the animation is minimal. I feel that after playing the demo, you’ll learn enough to know whether developer Dreamlords Digital have a product you could see yourself playing.  As someone who loves action strategy games, I really hope that Graywalkers pulls through. I admire its attitude, the gameplay elements, and the promise of a dynamically changing world. If they do fall short of funding, which would be terribly tragic, I hope they fight to find the money elsewhere. Check out the Graywalkers: Purgatory Kickstarter here.
