NEWS ROUND-UP: Pacific Rim, RED 2, Transformers 4 and Godzilla!

Film News round up time, with all the latest big screen news from across the web. Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim will be post-converted to 3D.  The world sighs.  After all how many good post converted 3D films have there been?  None.

The latest trailer for the Ross Boyask directed Warrioress is now online here.  This independently produced Uk fantasy action film stars Cecily Faye and tells the story of two powerful female warriors who must journey across a post-apocalyptic land to fight a ritual duel, and fulfill an ancient prophecy.  It is expected to arrive in the UK in 2013.
Harry Potter’s own Remus Lupin David Thewlis has been cast in the ‘Expendables for grown up’s’ sequel, RED 2. Thewlis joins Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung-Hun Lee, Karl Urban and Neal McDonough in the ensemble action comedy, released on August 2nd 2013.
Transformers 4 will feature all new robots.  Yes with toy sales poor after the previous instalment Hasbro, sorry Michael Bay, has decided to being a load of new toys sorry characters to the big screen.
Universal have confirmed that both Bourne Legacy and TED will be getting sequels.  TED alone has grossed over £25 million at the box office in the UK alone.
Gareth Edward’s Godzilla is set for the big screen release in 2014.  Following up from the Roland Emmerich’s less than well received take on the film over 16 years ago, Godzilla will arrive in glorious 3-D (although whether it’s actual 3D or post converted has yet to be decided).
