Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Trailer

Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot are back! You may think I’m talking about Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, but there is also a new Telltale game based on the Guardians movie. Telltale games, creator of adventure games based on properties like The Walking Dead, Fables, and Batman, are ready to go into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The most interesting moment from the trailer is Thanos showing up. That’s a heavy hitter for the Guardians to go up against, especially considering that we haven’t seen Thanos battle anyone in the Marvel films. We also haven’t seen whatever this object is that has Thanos’ attention. Could it be an Infinity Stone? If it’s not that, what else would Thanos personally show up to grab?

Since this is our first trailer, we don’t know how much action will be involved in Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. Telltale seems to have done a fair job with their Batman series, scoring an average in the mid-60s on Metacritic. Before that, Tales from the Borderlands, a side story based on the Borderlands games, did extremely well with critics. How this series of games does in comparison to their biggest title, The Walking Dead, has yet to be seen. I can say one thing for sure: Telltale Games is the only company that can take comic book licenses and consistently make interesting adaptations from it.

The release date  for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is the 18th of April. It’s coming out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and mobile devices. As of yet, there is no news of a Nintendo Wii U or Switch version.
