Bradley Cooper has formed a new Wolfpack but this time it’s a trio behind the camera to produce SyFy’s newest offering ‘Hyperion’.

Having an Oscar nominee and an Oscar winner amongst the team taking on a Hugo Award winning best novel seems like a dream combination. Simmons’ work has been described as the gold standard of science fiction story telling by Dave Howe, President, Syfy & Chiller.
The television series will interpret the book which is set on the eve of Armageddon with the entire galaxy at war. Sometimes described as echoing the Canterbury Tales, seven pilgrims set forth on a voyage to seek the answers to the unsolved riddles of their lives. Each carries a desperate hope and a terrible secret — while one may hold the fate of humanity in his hands.
“It is an absolute honor to enter into the world created by Dan Simmons that is arguably one of the greatest works of science fiction, and help realize it for television audiences,” said executive producer Cooper.

With the legacy of the novel behind it, this show can’t help but be a hit. A classic mix of violence, intrigue, tragedy and science fiction in equal measure what’s not to love? I am expecting bags of suspense and action and will be will be glued to the screen from minute one, episode one.
