Indiana Jones returns to Somerset House for the Film 4 2012 Festival

On Sunday 26 August 2012, ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” will be shown as part of the Film 4 open air ‘Summer Screen’ event.

Three years after showing ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Indiana Jones returns to entertain those brave enough to attend the open-to-the-elements mini film festival.
Situated between the Strand and the river Thames, Somerset House is an impressive neo-classical mansion in the centre of London.  During the summer days fifty five fountains can be seen spraying syncopated jets, but during the Film 4 “Summer Screen” nights, the fountains are turned off and the entire courtyard is used to seat 3000 people (per performance) with a programme containing twelve films over the course of three weeks.
This year, Harrison Ford returns as Indiana Jones in Steven Spielberg’s wild, whip-cracking sequel. The action comes thicker and faster second time around, as Indy’s search for a mystical stone leads him to a dangerous subterranean world and pits him against a sinister religious cult.

Tickets are £14.50 plus a booking fee for each film and are available now.

Be aware this is an al fresco event, no traditional seating will be made available so bring along your own rugs, blankets, and cushions!

Tickets for Indiana Jones – and all the other films which are part of the Somerset Film 4 ‘Summer Screen’ film programme  – are available now via the official  Film 4 website
