Joe Abercrombie’s Short Story Collection Sharp Ends Out Next Spring

Fans of Joe Abercrombie will be pleased to hear that he has another book out in the first half of next year. Sharp Ends will feature a mix of original and reissued short stories from the writer, and some will revisit some of the characters from Joe’s The First Law world, including the likes of Glokta, Jezal and Logan Ninefingers.

Joe Abercrombie’s novels set in the First Law world have sold over half a million copies to date and it is little wonder why. It has been a little while since I personally read the beginning books of The First Law but I can still remember the gritty and detailed world that the characters could operate in. Obviously I am not alone in enjoying these books as Joe Abercrombie is a Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling author and has even come in for praise from authors such as George R.R. Martin.

“I’m very pleased that some widely scattered shorts are going to be brought   together in one volume along with some new stories about old friends and enemies, filling in some blanks in the map of the First Law world and offering some different perspectives on key events. I hope readers will have as much fun revisiting some of these much-loved – and much-hated – characters as I have . . .” – Joe Abercrombie.

Sharp Ends will be published by Gollancz in the UK and Orbit in the US. It will release on the 21st April 2016.
