Judge Dredd: The Mega Collection

ATTENTION CITIZENS! The definitive Dredd collection will be landing on 21st January 2015!

Judge Dredd: The Mega Collection will be a fortnightly collection of classic progs brought to you by Hachette Partworks and 2000 AD and will be available from all good newsagents in the UK and Ireland.

The series begins with Judge Dredd: America by John Wagner and Colin MacNeil, which is regularly cited as the greatest Judge Dredd story of all time (I can safely confirm that yes, it IS the greatest Dredd prog of all time).  The collection will be in hardback editions with spines that, once lined up, will reveal a special and shiny new image. The Mega Collection, with stories that have never been reprinted before, will also give us a behind the scenes peek into character development, story lines and scenes, along with specially commissioned feature content, interviews with the creators and previously unseen artwork.

Some of the Dredd progs featured will be: The Cursed Earth, The Apocalypse War, and Necropolis alongside newer series such as Origins and Day of Chaos.  Created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra, Judge Dredd has been the backbone of 2000 AD for 38 years, and has produced some of the biggest names in UK and Irish comic talent including Mark Millar, Grant Morrison, Garth Ennis, Chris Weston, Jock, Frazer Irving, and Brian Bolland.

So, if you’re a long time fan and reader as I am, or want to get into Dredd for the first time, The Mega Collection is a drokking good place to start!

  1. I think the Dark Judges storyline is the best (followed by Block Mania, The Judge Child and The Cursed Earth).
    Hope they are included.
