Key Art for Starz’s Upcoming Da Vinci’s Demons Revealed

Starz has just revealed key artwork for their upcoming historical fantasy drama Da Vinci’s Demons. The series comes from the mind of The Dark Knight Trilogy and upcoming Superman flick Man of Steel writer David S. Goyer and presents a new look at one of the most recognizable historical figures ever – Leonardo da Vinci. Well, recognizable by name anyway. The key art features da Vinci (Tom Riley) with one of his famed inventions sketched behind him – his flying machine.  Da Vinci has fascinated people for centuries his inventions are a symbol of his genius and iconoclasm.

“Leonardo was a transformational figure—the original Renaissance man and the kind of genius that only emerges every thousand years or so,” said series creator David S. Goyer.  “What I like about this image is that it embodies a lot of the show’s themes.  It’s aspirational.  The triumph of the human spirit over ignorance and repression—the audacity of imagination.”

I’m very excited for this new series which premieres on April 12th at 10PM EST on Starz.
