Lost Girl’s Ksenia Solo Joins Orphan Black

Kick-ass lady shows collide! Fresh off Kenzi’s heart-breaking departure from Lost Girl, some happy news! Ksenia Solo (lots of K’s going on here…) is joining the clone club! BBC America’s Orphan Black is also adding James Frain (Intruders) and Justin Chatwin (Shameless) to the cast starring Tatiana Maslany as the lead sestra of female clones.

Chatwin will be playing the recurring role of Jason Kellerman – a savvy drug-dealer disguised as a charming businessman with Frain portraying Ferdinand, a smart, intimidating “cleaner” and part of a secret, multi-national political faction with questionable ethics (you could say that of many political factions but I digress.) But I have no problem saying I’m extremely excited to see Solo back on TV as Shay, a soulful healer with an awesome sense of humor (but of course!) who’s likely to become friends with our favorite scientist, Cosima! Maybe Cosima turns to the healing arts where science has failed to cure her illness?

These three actors join a slew of new characters, possibly related to last season’s revelations about Ari Millen’s character Mark. Kyra Harper (Warehouse 13) is Dr. Coady, a ruthless military doctor and Earl Pastko (Murdoch Mysteries) is Bulldog, Ferdinand’s imposing bodyguard. Goes without saying that if James Frain’s Ferdinand needs a bodyguard, they are into some super shady business.

Co-created by Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, the 3rd season is currently in production, returning in 2015 – check out the Season 3 teaser trailer below and visit www.bbcamerica.com/orphanblack for all your clone-y goodness!
