Marvel Mutterings: X-Men, Black Widow, Guardians & Avengers

Whether it’s Fox, Sony or the Marvel stable themselves, here are the world-wide witterings!

This week: New trailer/poster for the X-Men, Black Widow gets her own gig, a first shot of Guardians’ Nebula & Avengers sign a new actress!

X-Men: a new poster and an awesome new trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past:

Black Widow: Scarlet will be laughing all the way to the bank, as Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed that they are still very much considering ideas for a solo movie for Johansson’s Black Widow, but not until after Avengers: Age Of Ultron. “I think it could be great,” says Feige, “We’ve got various outlines and ideas of where to take that. As Scarlett’s already said, there’s a big element that explores her back story in an upcoming Marvel feature. “So the question really is, ‘When do we want to take her out of the ensemble to go and do her own thing?’ As you saw in [Captain America: The Winter Soldier], as you’ll see in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, she’s really the key to so much of the broader world.”

In the meantime, check out the new action-packed trailer for the upcoming Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher anime, as well a several clips:

Guardians of the Galaxy: Check out Chris Pratt, James Gunn and Kevin Feige talk Guardians Of The Galaxy in a 30-minute video Q&A on the newest eclectic heroic combo: And we also got to see a first portrait picture of Karen Gillan’s Nebula:

Avengers 2: South Korean actress Kim Soo-Hyun – known as Claudia Kim – has been added to the cast of Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron, saying on Twitter, “After a long wait, I’m happy to be back with great news. I have a lot to do ahead of me, but for now, the words “Welcome to the Marvel Universe” are amazing and kind of overwhelming. I was a fan of Marvel Comics, and if you really like something, looks like fate can make it happen.” A Korean Marvel rep was quoted as saying,”It would be a spoiler, so we can’t tell you which character she will play. Marvel always prohibits telling too much about the story. Her character is already decided and the scene is already written so we cast Kim Soo-Hyun, but we can’t let you know about her character. We only can say that her character is a substantial supporting role.” Any ideas, true believers?
