MCM London Expo Details Released

MCM Expo is returning to ExCel London on 26th-28th October and it seems they lined up quite a big show with special guests such as Matt Smith and Colin Ferguson for this year’s event.

This is no way a comprehensive list of everything that is going on at this massive three day event but here are just a few to get you started:

  • Doctor Who’s Matt Smith will be attending on the Friday to mark the launch of the series 7 part 1 DVD.  He will be hosting a panel along side Doctor Who executive producer Caroline Skinner as well as signing copies of the new DVD.
  • From The Walking Dead  Jeffrey Demunn, who plays Dale Horvath the moral centre of the small community of survivors,  and Andrew Rothenburg, who plays taciturn mechanic Jim.
  • From Once Upon a Time  Tony Amendola, Geppetto, and Keegan Connor Tracy, The Blue Fairy are attending.
  • A Town Called Eureka stars Colin Ferguson, Sheriff Jack Carter, and Tembi Locke, Dr. Grace Monroe
  • Videogame actor Courtenay Taylor best know as Jack/Subject Zero in Mass Effect 2

If meeting famous people isn’t your cup of tea then the big video games companies are out to impress you:

  • Nintendo will be giving vistors the opportunity to try out the new Wii U ahead of its release later this year.
  • Ubisoft will be bring Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, Far Cry 3 and the Wii U survival horror, ZombiU
  • Capcom will be hosting Lost Planet 3 and the latest Devil May Cry game
  • Namco Bandai will be holding a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 contest as well as previewing Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
  • Square Enix shows off Hitman: Absolution and their upcoming Tomb Raider reboot
  • 2K Games are showing  XCOM: Enemy Unknown and recently released Borderlands 2.

Just in case you still need a reason to go, here are some other attractions:

  • Sci-Fi author Peter Hamilton will be there to celebrate the launch of his latest novel, Great North Road
  • The Comic Village will be buzzing with some of the UKs top writers and artists, including Gary Erskine, Rufus Dayglo, Emma Vieceli, John McCrea, Al Davison and Lee Townsend
  • The JapanEx area will now have food stalls giving guests a literal taste of Japanese culture
  • The EuroCosplay Championship Finals
