Merlin’s Bradley James Confirms No Arthur Spin-Off

bradleyjamesAt San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, Merlin co-creators Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy raised the hopes of many fans with possibilities of a Merlin movie or spin-offs when the fate of the show was still unknown.

For those still holding out, you’re going to be disappointed as Bradley James revealed that a Merlin spin-off “was something discussed” but that he’s ready to “hang up the chain mail, to be honest with you, and pass the mantle on to the next person who shall take on the throne of Arthur Pendragon.”

Looking forward to different opportunities, James also added: “Variety is the spice of life. That’s the fantastic thing about acting is all the different challenges it can provide you with.”

We here at Geek Syndicate are excited to see what the former King does next; unlike Bradley however, I don’t think I’m ready to see anyone else take up the role of Arthur quite yet. How about you all?
