Multimedia Project Collider Holds a Masterclass in Film Franchise

Want to attend a Master Class in how to create a multimedia franchise then the folks at Collider are going to tell you how at the 25th Galway Film Fleadh.

This is a project I know well having watched the web series, read and the graphic novel and played the game and I loved the whole multimedia aspect to it. In this day and age we want more and we want to be interactive. Collider is an excellent example of how to do that.

The 25th Galway Film Fleadh, in association with beActive International, is delighted to present a filmmaking masterclass in how to build your low-budget Film Franchise, with Emmy-nominated producer Triona Campbell, social media guru and games supervisor Filipa Almedia and director Jason Butler.

It all started as a simple idea: Terminator meets Lost. Soon the idea became a best-selling Graphic Novel, followed by a YouTube webseries with over 1.5 million views, two mobile games and a feature film directed by Jason Butler (shot in Dublin and Kildare). This is the world of COLLIDER – a new sci-fi franchise set to hit Irish and European cinemas this autumn. This is also the start of the new revolution in how to market and distribute low-budget indie films and it is starting from Ireland, so here at the Galway Film Fleadh we have an exclusive masterclass on how to create a Film Franchise on a low budget.
