One Man Lord Of The Rings and One Man Star Wars Photocall in UK

If you are a fan of The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, have you ever thought what it might be like to watch one man perform them? Me neither but Charles Ross, a Canadian actor, did think that and then set about making it happen. His tour of One Man Star Wars has been happening since 2002, with One Man Lord of the Rings starting in 2009. Both acts were given the nod by the people in charge of the franchises which is high praise indeed.

After a successful time at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe , his latest UK tour is about to start and in honour of this, he is looking for eager fans of the two franchises who love to dress-up and who would like to join him in costume and feature in his news photocall. Anyone that might be interested must get to the shows’ London venue at Leicester Square Theatre on Sunday 28th September at 12.45pm for 1.00pm photographs with Charlie. The shoot will finish by 1.30pm at the latest. The nearest changing areas are the public toilets in Leicester Square (or a nearby cafe/pub). Travel expenses can’t be covered but attending fans will be given voucher codes that can be used for discounted prices on show tickets.

As Charles Ross puts it, “The Lord of the RingsTM and Star WarsTM Trilogy (despite its 1970s/1980s   hairdos) both have something that elevates them beyond other films. Maybe it’s Alec Guinness’s   effortless turn as Obiwan Kenobi, like Ian McKellen’s sublime Gandalf the Grey. Perhaps it’s the music,   the epic scale, or the battle between light and darkness? Whatever it is, I’m reminded of the simplicity of   childhood, feeling whisked away upon the adventures of Luke Skywalker or Frodo Baggins. Immersed in   a fantasy world of lasers, swords, spaceships, and monsters – fun, FUN, FUNNNNN!”

The tour is due to start in High Wycombe on 26th September and finish in Radlett on 17th October, visiting a good number of towns and cities in between. The show itself runs to about 60 mins and dates and venues can be seen below:
