Sci-Fi by the Sea, Herne Bay

Double latest flyer“It’s a Trap!” No, it’s Herne Bay’s Sci-Fi by the Sea – a family fun day of Sci-Fi fun and games, featuring Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar from the Star Wars franchise) and Colin Baker (The Sixth Doctor from Doctor Who) as star guests. June 16 is the day, Herne Bay Football Club is the place, entertainment is the destination.

So, what can you expect at Kent’s premier science fiction festival? Guests from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Doctor Who. Check! BBQ, licensed bar and live music? Check! A fancy dress competition and sci-fi related stalls and stands? Check! And all your favourite science fiction and comic book characters? Check! Awesome.

Guests announced feature actors and behind-the-scenes artists. They include Trevor Butterfield (Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi), Michael Henbury (Labyrinth, Return of the Jedi), Pam Rose (Star Wars A New Hope, Space 1999), Alan Flyng (Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi), Paul Markham (Return Of The Jedi, Batman, Superman), Stephanie English (Empire Strikes Back,  Batman: Dark Knight, Stardust), Ken Coombs (Return of the Jedi, Goldeneye), Ron Hone (chief droid builder and model maker in charge of the R2D2 builds and other droids on Empire Strikes Back), Peter Roy (Star Wars A New Hope, Return Of The Jedi, James Bond, Indiana Jones) and more.

Tickets are available now, priced at £3.00 for under 16s (Child)  and £5.00 over 16s (Adult). To book, visit: Organised by the BayPromoTeam, the event supports The Dogs Trust, Kent Air Ambulance and Cancer Research. So come along on Sunday 16th June from 11am – 5pm. It’ll be out of this world.
