Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Going Dark’ Reaches Out for Help via Indiegogo

We don’t often put up stuff about crowd funding projects however the more I look what’s going on with sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo the more cool ventures I release are out there. There are some really interesting and innovative project out there in the indie world looking funding that I would love to see come to fruition and one of these is the Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Going Dark’.

My main reason for becoming interested in this particular project is that one of the team behind Going Dark is Andrew J Sykes,  the director of Precision which was a short film that I loved and gave a mention on Geek Syndicate last year. Precision was an entry into the Sci-Fi London Festival’s 48 Hour Challenge, which was to make  5 minute film which was conceived, written, shot, scored and edited in only 48 hours.

Looking at how good Precision was I’m intrigued to see what Andrew and partner Stuart Murray can come up with if they manage to raise enough cash to make this latest film ‘Going Dark’.

“Going Dark” is set in “Lidenbrock’s Pride” . A state of the art Subterranean research base located on a distant moon. A lone programmer is left to supervise the base during a six week dark period. Lucas’ situation suddenly changes when someone comes knocking on the west airlock.

You can find out more about the project by heading over to Indiegogo and below Andrew has kindly sent us some concept art for the film.
