We know that the TV series spun out of the Marvel cinematic universe is going to rock but we actually don’t know that much about it yet. This week at SDCC we will find some answers from the brains behind it.

Executive producer Joss Whedon and Marvel’s Head of Television and series executive producer Jeph Loeb will host a panel on Friday and they promise to deliver some answers.

This week they have released the teaser image below and we just keep wondering what secrets they will spill on Friday. I don’t think we will get to know about Coulson’s story but maybe some info on the other Marvel characters who might appear in the show.

Also just announced is the composer who will take on score duties on the show. Bear McCreary who composed The Walking Dead and Battlestar Galactica is the man to bring us some adventure and hopefully kick ass tunes. I love what he did on both the two shows I mentioned and cant wait to hear what he will do with this show.

McCreary spoke about it on his blog.

“Readers of my blog know that superhero stories and their scores have had a tremendous impact on my life ever since I was a kid. I grew up with ‘Batman: The Animated Series,’ ‘Superman,’ ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,’ ‘Spiderman’ and ‘X-Men.’ In my daydreams, their adventures rumbled with bombastic and soaring orchestral melodies. I always wanted to write music of my own for this genre.

Now, I have the opportunity to contribute original music to the ever-expanding Marvel universe? And I have a full symphonic orchestra at my disposal every week to do it? And I get to work with the visionary Joss Whedon and his remarkable creative team? Well, suddenly I’m worried that my entire life might actually be a dream, that I might suddenly wake up back in third grade, having dozed off while reading ‘X-Men.’ If this life is a dream, I’m going to love every minute of it until I wake up.”

Apart from the Walking Dead I don’t think there has been such expectations from a genre series in a long time and with the music sorted and the cast all in place all we need now is the damn thing to start screening.

The confirmed cast include: Clark Gregg, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker,  Elizabeth Henstridge,  Ming-Na Wen and Chloe Bennet.
