SDCC: Marvel’s Avengers 2 Is No More. Now It’s Avengers…AGE OF ULTRON

That’s right folks. Joss Whedon announced yesterday the title of the next Avengers movie is Avengers: Age of Ultron. So what does this mean?

Well personally I am glad that it is not called Avengers 2 or Avengers Assemble 2 as that is just boring but what does this mean for the movie.

So firstly if you were unaware Age of Ultron is a 10 part series that has just finished with some huge changes for the comic Marvel Universe. Of course the Cinematic Marvel Universe has always done its own thing so don’t expect the same story or ending for that matter.

Ultron is robot life form created by Hank Pym who then went a bit crazy and wanted to kill all human life. This means that the chances are Hank Pym will appear in the sequel but that would mean he is first seen in this and not Ant Man coming out after Avengers Age of Ultron. I am not too happy about this as I wanted Edgar Wright to create the character. Of course I could be wrong and Pym may just appear in a cameo or not at all.

We also know that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch appear in the film but will they be good or evil?

Another point to note is that Age of Ultron had nothing to do with Thanos so I guess we wait till Avengers 3 to see that bad boy. Lastly at the end of Age of Ultron comic series something happens that allows crossovers of various kinds. Could this maybe leading up to a cinematic X-Men or Spider-Man crossover? Let’s hope so.
