Season 2 of ‘Orphan Black’ Greenlit & Series Coming to BBC3

orphan-blackIf you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve been raving about Orphan Black since it premiered. Raving in a good way that is! The newest original series from BBC America has been greenlit for a second season to air in 2014, which makes me very happy as lead actress Tatiana Maslany is absolutely fantastic – she carries the majority of the story playing so many different characters.

What also makes me happy? In a west-to-east move, the show will be airing on BBC3 soon so my UK brethren can finally experience the intriguing, messy world of Orphan Black for themselves. Read on to learn what the series is about & check out the series trailer as well:

Sarah hopes that cleaning out a dead woman’s bank account will solve all her problems. Instead, they multiply at an unnerving rate. Smart, sexy and pulsating with suspense – BBC AMERICA’s new original series, ORPHAN BLACK, features rising star Tatiana Maslany (The VowPicture Day). She portrays Sarah, an outsider and orphan whose life changes dramatically after witnessing the suicide of a woman, “Beth,” who looks just like her.

Sarah takes her identity, her boyfriend and her money. But instead of solving her problems, the street-smart chameleon is thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery. She makes the dizzying discovery that she and the dead woman are clones… but are they the only ones? Sarah quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy, racing to find answers.
