Skybreaker Goes To Print With IDW

Skybreaker, MonkeyBrain’s violent western, is making its way to print in April thanks to IDW Publishing. Previously only available through Comixology, Skybreaker by writer Michael Moreci (Curse, Hoax Hunters) and newcomer artist Drew Zucker takes a look at the gritty and tumultuous world of the American Old West.

Torn between allegiances, Skybreaker is caught in the middle as the blood begins to fly. When he’s betrayed and left for dead, he searches for retribution in that way that only works in a good Western.

“They always say to write the book you want to read. Skybreaker is that book, all the way,” says co-creator Moreci. “There’s such a lack of straight-up Westerns, and Drew and I set out to make something that we hope would make Leone himself happy.”

“This book is the culmination of a lot of hard work from a lot of different people, but I hope that more than anything it shows that the Western is alive, kicking, and doesn’t always need a twist, just some really great characters telling a really good story,” says co-creator Zucker.

Skybreaker is just the latest MonkeyBrain title to be brought to print through their partnership with IDW, following hits Edison Rex, Amelia Cole, Artful Daggers, Mask of the Red Panda, and Red Light Properties. Skybreaker will see print in April.
