What are Movie Fans Looking Forward to at SDCC?

So with SDCC so close you can you taste it (tastes like creamy porridge with a hint of nutmeg). Those lucky enough to have a golden ticket to this giant geek factory as well as the rest of us are starting to wonder what footage/trailers will be released. OK lets face it most of us will then have to spend out time scouring youtube for grainy videos of these ‘con exclusives’ (Still don’t get that just release them a few days or a week later).

Over at Fandango they have already got to work putting some stats behind those thoughts. They surveyed more than a thousand moviegoers on the most anticipated movies at this year’s convention and amongst them the top five stands at.

FANDANGO’S TOP FIVE MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIES AT COMIC-CON:

  1. AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
  2. BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
  3. THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES
  4. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR
  5. MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

“The biggest buzz is definitely surrounding Avengers 2: Age of Ultron and Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice,” said Fandango Fangirl Tiffany Smith. “Avengers 2 has so much power behind it because Marvel hasn’t had a single misstep in their cinematic universe and expectations are sky-high.  And with DC we’ve had all these rumors about what’s coming in the film world, so finally hearing the news from the stars themselves at Comic-Con will be a reality-bending, mind-blowing experience for the fans.”

It’s not that surprising a list really however  just using those top five and what I’m hoping to see footage of my list is going to read like this.

  1. BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
  2. MAD MAX: FURY ROAD
  3. THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES
  4. AVENGERS:AGE OF ULTRON
  5. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR

I know right sticking Avengers at number 4 right? You’re probably thinking that I’ve headbutted cap shield one time too many but bear with me and I’ll explain. Avengers was a great film and problem my fave of all the Marvel films (although my allegiance does occasionally  shift toward Cap 2). The thing is I’m pretty confident that I’m going to enjoy Avengers 2. I mean Wheedon still doing it and we’ve got the same cast so unless the Skrulls have replaces Wheedon with a shitty Skrull version who can’t write or direct when we should be in safe hands.

Now with Batman V Superman I have absolutely no idea what to expect from this film and that prospect both excites and terrifies me in equal measure which is why I’ve given it the top spot.

I’ve seen some images from Mad Max and that looks pretty bad ass so it would be cool to see a trailer.

SO what are your top five films that you want to see bring the noise at SDCC?
