Sony has announced a new cloud-based TV streaming service called PlayStation Vue which lets you access live TV and on-demand content without a cable or satellite subscription.

Initially available with 75 channels such as CBS, Fox, NBC and Viacom, users will be able to catch up on the last three days of programming and save shows to the cloud without storage restrictions and that shows tagged as ‘favourite’ will automatically be accessible for 28 days after they air.

Sony Entertainment CEO Andrew House said:

“PlayStation Vue reinvents the traditional viewing experience so your programming effortlessly finds you, enabling you to watch much more of what you want and search a lot less.

“PlayStation Vue brings the best of live TV and a robust catalogue of the latest content, always keeping you connected to what’s popular, new and trending.”
