7″ Wikipad Android Gaming Tablet US Launch in June

Wikipad 3Tthe Wikipad gaming tablet was first announced at CES 2012 some 18 months ago with a 2012 release date but was delayed until 2013. Initially supposed to be a 10″ tablet with glasses free 3D being touted, the Wikipad is now set to be released on 11th June following delays in the US as a 7″ tablet based on the Android platform.The Wikipad has a 7in 1280×800 16:10 display and a quad-core Tegra 3 processor along with 16GB of internal memory (with a micro SD slot for a further 32GB) and a 2MP front-facing camera. It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and comes with an interchangeable dual analogue controller pad.

Gamers can chose from over 100,000 great Android Games from the Google Play store, Amazon App Store and NVIDIA® TEGRAZONE™, like Grand Theft Auto III, Riptide GP, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which have all been optimized for Wikipad use. It is one of the few tablets certified for Sony PlayStation®Mobile

The Wikipad will be released in the US on 11th June and cost $250. The UK and globally released will follow later this summer.

  1. Super neat how they basically use it as a dock set up. I wish Wii U would have done this. I would love to see a PS4 targeted tablet too.
