Microsoft’s New Xbox Music Service Goes Live

Microsoft has continued its assault on the entertainment world by officially introducing its new Xbox Music service which has replaced its old Zune service and will go head to head against music services  such Spotify and iTunes.

Xbox Music will come with a library of 30 million songs, 5 million more than iTunes 25 million songs and can be accessed from devises such as the Xbox 360, Windows 8 PC’s, tablets and smartphones. Microsoft are also planning  iOS and Android apps which are set to be released at a future date

Pricing wise there is a free service similar to Spotify that will come with the now standard adverts but give you access to all tracks and unlimited playlists across your devices. For £8.99 per month subscribers get completely unlimited streaming, the ability to create an unlimited number of offline playlists and no adverts.
