Tom Hanks is Back as Robert Langdon in Inferno

Dan Brown’s books have a love them or hate relationship with its readership and the films have a confusing chronology. Word has just come out that the 3rd film will be based on the 4th book Inferno.

Personally I loved Angels and Demons the book and barely liked Da Vinci’s Code and Lost Symbol and have not even bothered with Inferno. I found the films to be OK but not great however I am happy that they are doing another film so I can see if Inferno is any good.

I actually would love to see Brown’s other non Langdon books turned into films but I guess we are stuck with these instead.

Ron Howard is back as director and of course Tom Hanks is firmly planted in the character of Robert Langdon. The film will come out late 2015.

In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces . . . Dante’s Inferno.

Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. Drawing from Dante’s dark epic poem, Langdon races to find answers and decide whom to trust . . . before the world is irrevocably altered.
