Tooting a trumpet

I’ll probably get told off for this but yannow, whatever.  I know he’s too modest to toot his own horn, so I, The Liz, am giving our GeekGuru, Barry a shoutout on GeekSyndicate.

Here’s why: Fallen Heroes by Barry Nugent is No. 1 on Amazon’s Kindle list for Contemporary Fantasy Fiction.

Yes people, it’s true.  Check it out.

So – there we have it.  I am very proud of Barry’s achievement.  So, please, everyone, find him on twitter as @geeksyndicate or leave comments here to tell him how pretty awesome this achievement is.  I’ll take the flak from him in silence, grinning all the time.  And if you can – buy a copy of the book.  I’m waiting for my Kindle to come in, hopefully by the first week of September and I’m looking forward to reading Fallen Heroes.

Here’s what Fallen Heroes is about – from the Amazon description:

Fallen Heroes: A computer disk no one can read but everyone wants. An orphan whose visions of death and destruction hold the key to his past and future. A pair of master thieves hunted for a crime they did not commit. An investigator of the unknown, a stalker of demons. A government agent whose murder investigation will bring him face to face with a tragic mistake from his past. All connected, all unwitting pawns in a plan set in motion over nine centuries before their birth. Pursued across the globe by enemies both human and supernatural they must overcome their mistrust of each other and uncover the truth before it destroys them and unleashes a malevolent and ancient evil upon an unsuspecting world. ‘This story pulls together loads of ideas and genres and will appeal to fans of the Da Vinci Code, Mission Impossible and James Bond to name but a few. If you enjoyed The ‘A’ team, love Indiana Jones and enjoy the fantasy of ‘X-men’ you’ll really relish this stylish action-packed adventure.’ Emma Mileham, manager from Waterstones, Northampton branch.
