Want to see what the new Green Arrow will look like on TV?

The CW network in America has been slowly building up the hype for this new series Arrow based around Oliver Queen or Green Arrow as you might know him. This is our first look at what the show is aiming for in terms of costume design.

I was a big Smallville fan and I really liked the look they gave Green Arrow in that show. I know a lot of Arrow fans did not like it but it was practical and being an Archery instructor myself I thought it would be something that a super hero archer would wear. The new look is very old school but for me it just seems like another normal archer. But let’s hear from some real Green Arrow fans on the design. Let us know what you think.

The CW‘s pilot Arrow just released the first image of star Stephen Amell as (Green) Arrow. The suit was designed by three-time Oscar-winning costume designer and frequent Tim Burton collaborator Colleen Atwood (Alice In Wonderland). The project, written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg, is based on the DC character and centers on former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Amell) who, after being marooned for five years on a remote island, returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime. David Nutter, who also helmed the pilot for the Superman-themed series Smallville, is directing Arrow.
