Have you heard of the Warcraft movie? If not, feast your eyes on some stunning computer generated material for this live action adaptation of the games.
This is the most we know about the film so far. If this ends up being a failure, it will be a spectacular, expensive, richly detailed, and amazing failure. Computer art is not all it takes to sway me, but I am thus far impressed. If you are totally new to Warcraft, but this has gained your interest, Warcraft is a series of video games starting in the 1990’s with Warcraft: Orcs and Humans. Warcraft started as a strategy game. Then, as internet speeds, graphical quality and hard drive storage improved, World of Warcraft debuted as an MMORPG in 2004, ten years after the strategy game series. World of Warcraft (WoW) is one of the most popular and beloved games of its type, and that is why we are getting a film adaptation now.
Warcraft is scheduled to come to theaters in 2016. It is directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and is being written by Jones and Charles Leavitt (K-Pax, Seventh Son). Leavitt has 2 decades of screenwriting experience under his belt, and Jones has more than a decade. I hope Warcaft comes out well. There are literally 10s of milllions of people who hope the same.
