Zombie Double Bill Opens Herne Bay’s Halloweek Festival

This year’s spectacular Herne Bay ‘Halloweek Festival’ opens with an awesome double bill at the Herne Bay Kavanagh Cinema.

Modern cult classic Zombieland opens the evening. Starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone, it has the perfect blend of romance, humour and zombie thrills to put you in the mood for a new release and – I predict – soon to be cult classic. Gore-laden and hilarious, Cockneys vs Zombies features Michelle Ryan and, yes, that’s right, the inimitable Richard Briers.

Slow and shuffling vs shuffling and slow. Both films are rated 15 so there’s no excuse for any zombie fan – young or old – not to see it on this terrifyingly terrific evening. The double bill starts at 8.15pm on Wednesday 31 October (which of course just happens to be Hallowe’en). Tickets are £8.00, which, for a couple of films, is clearly a bargain. Call the cinema on 01227 360569 to book.

The rest of the zombie-themed ‘Halloweek’ features, amongst other things, a Wizard School, a pumpkin carving competition, a zombie makeup workshop, a tarot card evening, fireworks, and of course the Herne Bay Zombie Crawl which culminates in the (sold out) Zombie Ball.
