COMIC REVIEW: Atomic Robo and The Flying She-Devils of the Pacific #3

The third installment of this volume gives us what all great Robo storylines need: a huge explosion. The issue further continues the story of the She-Devils and the mysterious machines that shot Atomic Robo out of the sky.

She-Devil Island is attacked by the Japanese, with the She-Devils and Robo barely escaping before the island is blown up, as often happens in Robo’s adventures. During the escape, Robo jumps out of the airship to buy the She-Devils time and is captured on a submarine by a man who seems to know Robo from previous years.

As always, Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener make a wonderful comic. The writing and the art come together to make one of the most thoroughly enjoyable comics on the market. I don’t think I’m amiss in saying that this is one of the best comics on the shelves every month. If I could buy a new issue of this comic every week, I would do it and be perfectly happy with it.

While this issue isn’t one of the best, it serves as a great middle point for the arc and as a way to set up the sure-to-be-amazing resolution for the story.
