TV REVIEW: Futurama Season 6 Episode 22 – Fry Am The Egg Man

This week, Fry learns what eggs actually are, and sets about saving one from certain… Being eaten. Little does he know that he is saving a carnivorous bone vampire egg and the creature inside is sure to lead to trouble.

This is a great episode of Futurama. Having seen Jurassic Bark, we all know how protective Fry gets of his pets and Mr Peppy – the bone vampire – is no different. Even when he melts Bender’s feet, Fry will still defend him to the death. There is a great montage of the creature and Fry getting closer and closer and when Fry must actually do the unthinkable and get rid of his pet, we see yet another new planet in the Futurama universe.

While the other characters have little to do with this episode of the show, they still have some great one liners, and Fry’s love for Leela is brought up again as he vies for her affections. What ever happened to those two anyway? Did they break up or did the writers just let that one go?

Overall this season of Futurama has had peaks and troughs. Thankfully this is one of the better episodes, but then, bad Futurama is better than no Futurama at all…
