TV PREVIEW: Doctor Who Series 7 Episode 3: A Town Called Mercy

Doctor Who Logo - 2010 Version

It’s time for the first Who western since 1965’s The Gunfighters. This time, the crew face a Gunslinger (see what I did there? Linktastic!). Toby Whithouse’s script is the midpoint in the middle of the five pre-Christmas episodes, but will it be a hump or a slump? You’ll have to wait until Saturday 15 September 2012 at 19:35 in the evening to find out. But if you want a few hints at what you can expect from the episode, click More to see my ten  preview hints.

01: Mercy: A one horse town living in fear.
02: Three items on the Doctor’s Christmas list are checked off.
03: “Tea. But the strong stuff. Leave the bag in.”
04: The Time Lord goes all Fan Boy.
05: Age Check for the Time Lord. It’s been some time.
06: “There’s Kindness in your eyes. And sadness. And ferocity too.”
07: “This is what happens when you travel alone for too long.”
08: The Doctor has a face off … Or two.
09: “We all carry our prisons with us. Mine is ** ****. Yours is your ********.”
10: Has our friendly Time Lord been watching the A-Team?
