THE A-TEAM follows the exciting and daring exploits of Hannibal Smith and his colorful team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going ‘rogue,’ they utilize their unique talents – and eccentricities – to try and clear their names and find the true culprit.
The film hits uk screens 28th July
Don’t know who the A-team are (there must be one person who doesn’t) then this character spots should help out.
I’ve said this many times before but man I can’t wait to see this film.

I know we’ve already had this up on the site but A) this is a better version and B)I’m sorry but I never get tired of watching this trailer!
I liked the teaser but this full trailer I think really captures the spirit of the show and the characters but at the same time making it look more modern and a little more realistic (not a cabbage firing bazooka in sight) but at the same time still have that sense of the ridiculous that made the A-team avid watching for me when I was a kid.
The film is out 20th July 2010 and I can’t wait for this bad boy!
Welcome to another episode of Geek Syndicate. Apologies for the lateness of the episode, which was down to computer troubles.
News: Spidey Reboot, Star Wars gets seedier than Mos Eisley, The Spectre gears up for his animated debut and Brightest Day talk.
Week that was: The Dead, Being Human, Doghouse and the A-team trailer.
Main: We take a look at some of european comics we’ve picked up recently from Cinebook. To check oput the comics we look at have a look at the links below.

I actually heard one person complain that this trailer wasn’t realistic enough. I’m guessing they never actually watched an episode of the A-team otherwise they would know that realism and the show never really went hand in hand.
I mean did anyone really get fooled by any of Hannibal’s fool-proof disguises? My personal favourite was the episode when they made a bazooka that fired cabbages.
Anyway I loved the trailer I think it captured the right tone of what I expect from a big budget version of the TV show.
I mean what’s not to love about a flying tank (watch the trailer and you’ll see what I mean).
It looks like this summer we’re going to get ninety minutes of pure popcorn fun and you know what I can live with that.
One thing though if I don’t get a scene with the team trapped in a warehouse with a load of welding equipment which just happens to be lying around and waiting to be used then I’m going to be seriously upset.
Here’s the first promotional image of as the infamous A-team from the upcoming film adaptation of the popular tv show (At least I’m hoping this is and not some elaborate fake).
I’m sure there are a lot of folks who won’t like this shot but I kinda like it. I think it shows that we’re going to get a more fun action movie then and ‘Bourne’ style take on the A-team which I’m all good with. I especially like the look of Bradley Cooper as Faceman and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A.
I’m looking forward to seeing the first trailer. Fingers crossed they don’t screw this up.
When this idea was announced I was dead set against it but after hearing about the casting and now seeing some of the pics from the set I’m really looking forward to this film now. I think the casting is great and they definitely have the look of the iconic ex Vietnam vets.
Fingers crossed I still fell the same way when I sit down to watch the film.
Patrick Wilson who starred in the Watchmen earlier this year as Nite Owl is looking like he’s jumping from one big adaptation to another. He wil play a CIA Operative in the new A-team movie.
According to the Director Jow the premise will basically stay the same however instead of four vietname vets this time the guys will have been stationed in the middle east(I think we all saw that one coming).
So far the cast is shaping up pretty well so it looks like they are really trying to give us a good solid adaptation of everyone favourite mercenaries.
The A-team movie which is about to start shooting is still down two cast members, namely B.A. Baracus and Howling mad Murdock. The rumour mills have been going into overtime with the rumour that B.A has been cast.
A Mma fighter by the name of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is supposedly set to take on the role formely held by MR T. Not knowing much about the whole Mixed Martial Arts scene I had now idea who Jackson was but my first thought was ‘cool name’
A few images searches on the net stuck gold and I found the following image.
I have no idea about the guys acting chops but he certainly feels the Bad Attitude look needed. Anyway lets be honest Mr T bless him wasn’t the world’s greatest thespian.
It seems that Taken star Liam Neeson is in talks to play Col John ‘Hannibal’ Smith in the upcoming film version of the A-team. Nothing in concrete yet but the negotations are ongoing as are those of Bradley Cooper who is in talks to play Faceman.
I have to admit I had no idea who could take on the role of Hannibal but Liam Neeson is not a name that would have sprung to mind. The more I think about this casting news the more I like it. I thought Liam was absolutely bad ass in Taken and if this is the kind of Hannibal they are going for then I’m good with that. I also think Bradley is a good choice for Face. I’m looking forward to seeing who gets cast as BA and Murdoch as so far I’m liking the way the casting is going.
The film is due out June 2010.
I’m not bothered that they’ve dropped some of the campier elements of the show but I hope a little of the fun of the series stays in. There is mention of wanting the film to have a tone that’s reminiscent of Oceans Eleven and Mission Impossible and that sounds fine to me.
An A-team movie, if done right, has all the ingredients to make for a great summer blockbuster.
So it’s seems that 80′s classic The A-Team is finally going to get that big screen treatment they’ve been talking about for years. Ridley Scott is attached to the project as a producer (shame he’s not directing).
The speculation can now officially begin on the casting of the infamous roles of Hannibal, Faceman, Howling Mad Murdock and B A.
I’m actually quite excited about this. In my strange world as this is a movie version and not a remake of the tv show I’m kinda of ok with the idea of a different cast. They did the same thing but in reverse with both Stargate and Buffy(wow how bad was that movie?) so it could work if handled right.
I just hope it sticks to it’s roots and we get a fun action movie rather than some gritty, realistic bourne type movie.
Oh and Ridley mate if we can have a little cameo of an open-top jeep that flips over ten times and everyone gets out with out a mark on them that would be sweet.
