Batman: Arkham City and LA Noire have both scored eight nominations among the list of 48 nominees for the GAME British Academy Video Games Awards, released today. Both titles are nominated for awards in the Artistic Achievement, Best Game, Design, Original Music, Performer, and Story categories.
LA Noire also appeared in the Debut Game, and Game Innovation categories, while Batman also scooped Action and Audio Achievement nominations. Both are also on the list for the The GAME Award of 2011.

Rockstar’s eagerly anticipated 1940′s crime thriller LA Noire is due to be released on May 20 in Europe and the official box art has now been unveiled. Got to say I’m looking forward to playing this game. It really could be a game changer look at some of the developer video and trailers I’ve watched.

Rockstar Games have released a second trailer for upcoming Murder Mystery game L.A Noire. It looks like a lot of fun to me, I love the plot and look of this game, drawing heavily from the Film Noire genre of the 40s and 50s. Anyway, I’m not going to speak to much about it, just let you watch it and enjoy it. I think it looks brilliant, and can’t wait to get my hands on it.
L.A. Noire is due for release in USA on 17 May, and in Europe 20 May.
