Looks like Steven Moffat’s  modern day take on Sherlock Holmes is going to be around for a little longer.

In an interview with the BBC at the South Bank Show Awards Benedict Cumberbatch who plays Holmes confirms that both he and Martin Freeman who plays Dr Watson will be returning for a fourth series of the show.

“We’ve agreed to two more series but I could get into trouble for saying that,” revealed Cumberbatch at the South Bank Show Awards this afternoon.

So it seems like buses if you wait long enough for the Sherlock TV show another three episodes will show up.

  1. I’d be happy to see more. We’ve only had six so far, which is about a quarter of an American season, so there’s no real danger of it growing stale in my opinion.
