The Walking Dead are heading for the small screen

The Walking Dead is centered around Rick, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. As the series progresses, the characters become more developed, and their personalities shift under the stress of a zombie apocalypse. Fighting growing despair — and sometimes each other — the group searches for a secure location which they can finally call home.

It seems the comics to (take your pick) adaptations jugglenaut shows no signs of slowing any time soon.

According to Hollywood Reporter AMC has picked up the rights to Robert Kirkman’s Zombie comic “The Walking Dead” for a potential series.

Frank Darabont will be handling the writing and directorial duties. He also be a producer on the project.

I’ve not read “Walking Dead,” but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it and the premise sounds like it would make for a good TV series.
