Jessica Jones Heading to TV

Variety is reporting that Marvel is planning to bring Jessica Jones to our TV’s next year and will be developed by The Twilight Saga/Dexter screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. The show is in production at ABC and is set to hit our screens next Fall.

Jessica Jones was created by Brian Michael Bendis in the 2001’s Alias, which was the first comic in Marvel’s MAX imprint. Jessica who is a ex superhero became a P.I. in the Marvel Universe. Jessica is currently one of the New Avengers.

Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb and Chief Creative Officer/Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada will be onboard as executive producers, with Bendis consulting. which means we will hopefully get a good panel to screen translation.

Maybe this series can replace the void left by Smallville as that will be off the air by the time this roles around. Add in that the Hulk series is moving forward these next few years are going to be exciting for comic fans.

Who would you like to see step into the role of Jessica? and is there another character you would rather Marvel would use?
