S.H.I.E.L.D TV Series Coming Next Autumn?

marvel___the_avengers_shield_logo-t2Please,Please, please, PLEASE,  hurry up and make it Joss!

So folks, rumour has it that the eagerly anticipated TV series S.H.I.E.L.D could be coming to TV screens as early as Autumn next year.

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, in a cave, under the sea for the last year I’ll explain what S.H.I.E.L.D is.

S.H.I.E.L.D is going to be a TV spin off series from Joss Whedon’s excellent Avengers movie. It’ll follow the adventures of a bunch of new S.H.I.E.L.D agents AND apparently Agent Coulson will be returning for the series.

Marvel TV’s Jeff Loeb explained.

“We have a “little” pilot for television that you might have heard about called Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. co-written, directed, and Executive Produced by none other than Joss Whedon! Working with Joss, Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jeffrey Bell on the show is a blast! And bringing in Clark Gregg to play Agent Phil Coulson — the best! Hopefully we will be on in the Fall of 2013 on ABC!”

There’s a bit of casting news too with actors Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz  and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Gemma Simmons.
