Thanks to the guys over at Forbidden Planet for sending us this latest news of two upcoming signings.

Diary Date: Friday 1st May 1 – 2pm

Forbidden Planet is pleased to announce a signing by Hugo Award winner Charles Stross. He will be signing Saturn’s Children and Merchant Princes Book Five: The Revolution Business at the Forbidden Planet Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JR, on Friday 1st May from 1 – 2pm.

Saturn’s Children is a Hugo-nominated Heinlein tribute; classic space opera following the tale of Freya the femmebot, the last of her kind and devoid of the human pleasures for which she was made. Instead, she agrees to transport a package – and becomes a moving target for a very determined foe.

In The Revolution Business the War on Terror goes trans-dimensional. Locked in war, the Clan is besieged in two universes at once, while plotters conspire to replace their ailing leader. Meanwhile, US government researchers have achieved an ominous technological breakthrough.

Born in Leeds, Charles knew he wanted to be a Sci-Fi writer, but began his career as a pharmacist. He realised it wasn’t the job for him when the police staked out his shop for a second time during an armed robbery. He did a post-graduate degree in Computer Science and started a new career in web consultancy – but missed to dotcom boom. Fed up, he started to write full time and now deals with huge success and a presence on the progressive frontier of the SF business.
