The 2010 Eagle Awards Now Open For Nominations!

INTRODUCED in 1976, the Eagles are the comics industry’s longest established awards. Acknowledged as the pre-eminent international prizes, they have been featured on the covers of leading US and UK titles across the last 30 years.

“Nominations are now being solicited for the 2010 Eagle Awards.”

Wow this news caught me a bit off guard. I saw some stuff about helping to test out the Eagle Awards website but I didn’t think it was going live so soon, let alone allowing people to nominate. No word yet on when the nominations will close and voting stars but hopefully their will be some news soon.

It seems someone has already put us in the best Comic Related Website Category…nice to know someone out the likes us. It would have been nice to have had a Best Comic Related Podcast in the line up as there are a lot of great podcasts out there (of which we’re one) that have been doing a stellar job at promoting the comics medium.

Maybe next year we’ll start a campaign to get a new category added. In the meantime head over to the website and nominate.
