Doctor Who – The Adventure Games is on the way

I always thought that Doctor Who was one of those properties that was crying out for a game adaptation and now I’m going to get my wish with “Doctor Who – The Adventure Games’.

According to the BBC website writers from the show will be working with UK game designer Sumo Digital to create four interactive episodes of the show.

The four two-hour dramas will allow fans to take on the role of the Doctor, enter different universes and fight some new enemies.

Matt Smith, who plays the Doctor and Karen Gillan, who plays companion Amy, have provided voice-overs.

The first of the games, developed by UK game designer Sumo Digital, will be available for free download via the Doctor Who website in June.

I think this is a great idea and I’ll be giving the first game a look see when it hits the net. I hope this paves the way for some other Doctor Who games in the future.
