Marvel Mutterings: Spider-Man, X-Men & Captain America

Whether it’s Fox, Sony or the Marvel stable themselves, here are the world-wide witterings!

This week: New posters for All Hail The King, X-Men, Falcon & Spider-Man, new trailers and featurettes for Spidey!

All Hail The King: Check out this new poster for Sir Ben’s One-Shot:

Captain America: The Winter Soldier: A new poster for Anthony Mackie’s Falcon:

And whilst The Winter Soldier may have Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow set up as the leading lady, we are being advised to look out for new character Sharon Carter, aka Agent 13. Played by Emily VanCamp, Sharon is a relation of British agent Peggy Carter(Hayley Atwell), who was all set to become Steve Roger’s wartime sweetheart in the first film. In the comics, the pair have a passionate on-off relationship, but co-director Joe Russo says they’re taking things slow: “We introduce her as a character in this movie, but it’s sort of a soft introduction. There’s definitely the budding of [a romance], but it’s something that’s more left to future storytellers.” In a deleted scene on the Avengers Assemble DVD and Blu-ray release, we learned that Peggy is still alive – adding a whole new element to any future love triangle in Captain America 3.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro trailer shows more footage from the upcoming sequel, and not only Electro but also the Rhino and Harry Osborn / Green Goblin:

Unfortunately, two new featurettes go a little too far and reveal Stan Lee’s cameo and George Stacy’s (Denis Leary) return:
